Misha Quark is a fresh take on dairy that’s deliciously non-tart, thick, creamy, and naturally packed with protein. Our Quark is crafted in Upstate New York using only simple ingredients like grass-fed milk and absolutely no Stevia, preservatives, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, or synthetic growth hormones.
Quark is a cultured dairy beloved in Europe for its non-tart taste, thick texture, and high protein content that’s like Greek yogurt, but better! Enjoy as simple snack, grab-and-go breakfast, or easy ingredient.
When did Misha Quark start?
We launched in July 2015 to give consumers a new deliciously tart-free, super creamy option in the dairy case.
Is Misha Quark different than yogurt?
It’s all about culture! We use a special strain of dairy cultures to craft each and every cup of Misha Quark. It’s these special Quark cultures that give Misha it’s hallmark deliciously creamy, non-tart taste.
Is Misha Quark different than Greek Yogurt?
Similar to Greek yogurt, we strain Misha Quark to make it so thick and creamy. But then we take it one step further. After straining, we gently heat our Quark to give Misha a deliciously non-tart taste.
How is Misha Quark so tasty and tart-free?
Misha Quark has no tart yogurt taste because we use a special blend of dairy cultures and a gentle heating process to give Misha its deliciously mild flavor.
Why does Misha Quark taste different than other Quarks I’ve tried?
Misha is one-of-a-kind. So unlike some other Quarks you may have tried, Misha is super smooth and creamy and crafted with simple ingredients and no artificial sweeteners, Stevia, or preservatives.
How do you make Misha?
Each batch of Misha Quark is crafted in Upstate New York for over 13 hours, using a special blend of dairy cultures and grass-fed milk that we source from family farms who do not use any kind of growth hormones such as rBST. We then remove the excess liquid whey from Misha Quark by straining it to create a deliciously thick and creamy texture.
How do you pack so much protein into Misha?
Similar to Greek Yogurt, we strain Misha Quark, which gives it a crazy thick and creamy texture and a naturally high protein content so it’s an awesome perfect pre- or post-workout recovery fuel.
Is Misha organic?
We only work with farms that do not use any kind of growth hormones such as rBST. Misha Quark isn’t organic but we use only simple, thoughtfully sourced ingredients like grass-fed milk and absolutely no preservatives, Stevia, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors, or synthetic growth hormones.
Does Misha contain GMOs?
Misha isn’t certified GMO-Free but is thoughtfully crafted using only simple ingredients and absolutely no artificial sweeteners, Stevia, preservatives, or growth hormones.
What is RBST?
Here at Misha, we only work with farms who do not treat their cows with rBST. (According to the FDA, no significant difference has been shown, and no test can now distinguish, between milk from rBST treated cows and untreated cows.)
Does Misha contain any artificial sweeteners?
No way! Our products are also free of Stevia.
Does Misha contain added sweeteners?
Our Original Misha flavor contains no added sugar but only our special blend of cultures and grass-fed milk. Our flavored varieties are crafted with only simple, clean ingredients like real fruit, vanilla, and gently sweetened with cane sugar.
When does the 5g of sugar in your Original flavor come from?
The sugars found in our Original flavor are naturally occurring from the milk (lactose). In our flavored varieties, in addition to lactose, they also contain naturally occurring sugar in the form of real fruit (fructose), cane sugar or 100% pure maple syrup.
I’m lactose intolerant. Can I eat Misha?
Sensitivity to lactose varies by person, and kids and adults who experience discomfort from lactose may be able to eat Misha Quark without negative effects due to our straining process, which removes about 95% of the lactose from our products. However, it’s best to consult your physician before making major changes to your diet.
Is Misha gluten-free?
All Misha Quark varieties are naturally gluten-free and are certified by the GFCO (Gluten-Free Certification Organization). This means they contain no wheat, rye, barley or other gluten-containing ingredients.
How much calcium is in Misha?
Misha Quark contains 20% of the DV (Daily Value) for calcium.
Where can I find the expiration date on my cup of Misha?
The expiration date is located on the bottom of your Misha cup.
Is Misha vegetarian-friendly?
Yes! Misha is free of gelatin and other animal-based thickeners. Misha is a great source of protein for vegetarian diets.
Is Misha kosher?
Yes, Misha is Kosher Dairy Certified by the Orthodox Union (OU). Our labels display the OUD symbol, which is a U that is inside an O with a D next to it.
After purchasing Misha, how long will it last until expiring?
Proper food safety is a must. If properly refrigerated, Misha will last until the date listed on each individual cup. Each Misha cup is a single-serve option, which we recommend consuming at the time it’s opened.
